After dedicating 46 years to the plastic injection moldmaking industry as a machinist, I have recently retired. My career was divided between two employers: 12 years at a small surface grinding shop and 34 years at a larger moldmaking facility.
Throughout my career, I specialized in several areas: 21 years operating surface grinders as a flat form specialist, 12 years programming and operating CNC form grinders, and 13 years programming and operating Zeiss coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).
My tool collection reflects this specialized background, with an emphasis on precision grinding and inspection instruments. While many tools were acquired from commercial sources, I also created numerous specialized tools myself during extensive "shop nights" that followed my standard 10-hour shifts.
